  We were visiting Shasta, Redding and Lassen Volcanic National Park. We decided to make this as our base while we were in Shasta and Redding. And we were not disappointed. We were welcomed by Denise at the front door when we arrived and she showed as around. In fact she had sent us the arrival instructions by email well in advance but she still took time to explain every little detail and showed as our room, living room, patio and so on. This place was just fantastic. It had a great living room and a kitchen where we would usually make our morning tea and breakfast before heading out for the day. In the evenings we would hangout outdoors near the barbecue area and its really nicely dine too. The rooms were well maintained too and the whole place was like an outhouse, which was really tastefully done. We are going back to Redding in September but I am sort of disappointed that we couldn't find a room at the Hope Inn. I hope we get it next time we are in the area.
